When David the Prophet and King felt a type of emotion, he would write them down. Whether they were about himself, his enemies or about God, King David’s heart bled on the paper.

His writings make up the Book of Psalms which are the most beautiful pieces of poetry that have ever been written in the existence of man.  They are known to create a sense of comfort in the hearts of the anxious, bring joy into the hearts of the mournful, strengthen the weak and have become the literature that Christians relate to in their day-to-day prayers.

So as you can see from the life of King David, writing can go a long way. Words can be imprinted into the minds of individuals and alternate their perspectives on life. There are many Christian youth who are capable of writing up short pieces that can positively impact the youth that surround them. That is the aim of this blog.

“Thinking Out Loud” is designed to present that opportunity to the youth to express and share their spiritual experiences with the struggling individuals that come across this blog page.

Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them.
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for Your commandments.
Look upon me and be merciful to me, as Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.
Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep Your precepts.
Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes.
Rivers of water run down from my eyes, because men do not keep Your law.”
(Psalms 119:129-136)
